A Student First

    Sigma Nu exists to cultivate and develop ethical leaders. An education is the most important part of that formula. Our members are always reminded that they came to school to be a student first and foremost; their membership in Sigma Nu follows. As a chapter at Kent State, we are proud of our stellar GPA and the members that work to uphold it.

    The Zeta Gamma chapter holds its members to an extremely high standard, and in doing so does periodic grade checks on all of its members. Anyone wishing to join the fraternity or remain in good standing within it, must carry a semesterly GPA of at least a 2.5. Officers within the chapter are held to an even higher standard.

    The chapter also works with members to ensure that they are developing and maintaining excellent study skills. Not only does the chapter have regulated study hours on campus, but we also offer peer mentoring as a way for our brothers to not only help each other scholastically, but to bond as well. The chapter has a dedicated Scholarship Chairman who focuses on providing resources for members in the hopes that academic excellence will remain a top priority.
